Obverse description Facing bust of a bishop in high relief, wearing a crown or mitra, set within a beaded inner circle. Flanking the bust to the left and right are the letters T and V, identifying the issuing authority. The portrait is rendered in a crude but expressive medieval hammered style typical of late medieval German bracteates. Drapery is faintly indicated at the base of the bust.
