| Beschrijving voorzijde | A rampant lion passant, facing right, rendered in high relief characteristic of bracteate coinage, depicted beneath a crenellated architectural arch surmounted by a crown with fleur-de-lis finials, all contained within a raised border. The lion, the heraldic symbol of the House of Welf, is shown with pronounced musculature and a stylized mane, with forelegs raised in a striding posture.
