Obverse description Facing crowned bust of Landgrave Otto rendered in low relief, the crown depicted with prominent upright elements above a broad fillet. The face is shown frontally in a schematic, hieratic style typical of early 14th-century German bracteate coinage. Six pellets are arranged symmetrically around the bust in the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself set within a plain outer border.
