Odon Mieszkowic ruled Greater Poland as duke from 1177 until his death in 1194, a period of persistent fragmentation across the Piast domains following the Statute of Krzywousty. Bracteates of this type were struck at Poznań during a phase when Polish monetary production was almost entirely dominated by thin, single-sided silver — a format that suited the limited silver supplies and primitive striking infrastructure of the regional Polish mints. Kopicki 141 is among the scarcer attributions in the bracteate series for this duchy.
