| Beschrijving keerzijde | As a bracteate, this coin is struck on a single thin flan from one die only; the reverse presents a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse design, showing the standing princely figure in relief in negative. The surface is plain and undecorated, typical of bracteate technique, with no independent reverse legend or design. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Mieszko the Younger's tenure as duke was turbulent even by the fractious standards of Piast dynastic politics. He held Kalisz intermittently, squeezed between competing brothers and the constant threat of expulsion — which came more than once. The Kalisz mint operated under these unstable conditions, making coherent attribution difficult and confirmed issues rare.
Bracteates of this type survive in small numbers, their thin fabric making intact examples genuinely scarce. Kopicki 138 remains the standard reference, though the attribution to Mieszko the Younger specifically rests on stylistic and hoard evidence rather than documentary confirmation.
