Obverse description Facing bust of a ruler in low relief, rendered in a crude but distinctive Romanesque style characteristic of early Polish bracteate coinage. The effigy displays a schematic frontal face with dotted or pellet detailing around the head, possibly representing a crown or nimbus. The bust appears draped, with the shoulders indicated at the lower field. Surrounding the central device is a beaded or dotted inner border, with a further beaded outer border defining the coin's edge. Primitive Romanesque lettering or pseudo-inscription is distributed around the upper field of the flan.
