| Descrizione del dritto | Facing crowned head of Duke Louis II in high relief, struck in the bracteate manner on a thin hammered flan. The crowned effigy displays a beaded crown with prominent central finial, schematically rendered facial features including large circular eyes, a broad nose, and a small mouth. Flanking the neck are symmetrical foliate or scroll-like ornamental elements, possibly representing shoulders or stylised drapery. The entire design is set within a slightly raised border, with the characteristic irregular wavy rim of the bracteate flan visible at the periphery. No legend is present; the design is purely figural in the Romanesque tradition of late 13th-century South German bracteate coinage. |

The surface displays typical patination and encrustation consistent with extended burial or circulation. |
