Obverse description Struck as a bracteate, the obverse displays a quartered shield bearing the combined arms of Königstein and Eppstein, divided by a plain cross into four quarters alternating the respective heraldic devices of each county. The shield is set within a beaded or pelleted inner circle, with small pellets or roundels visible at intervals along the border. The design is rendered in the thin, single-sided hammered tradition characteristic of late medieval German Pfennig bracteates, exhibiting shallow relief with a somewhat irregular flan. No legend is present, the heraldic shield serving as the sole identifying device.

Reverse description As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the quartered arms of Königstein and Eppstein in sunken relief. The flan is thin and uneven, with a heavily worn and patinated surface obscuring most fine detail. No separate reverse design or legend was intended, as is typical of the bracteate coinage tradition.
