| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal enthroned figure of Abbot Ludewicus (Louis I), mitred and vested in ecclesiastical robes, holding a crozier with volute curl to the left and an open book to the right. Two small crosses flank the figure in the field to either side. The composition is set within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a raised rope-like border and a flat outer rim, all executed in the characteristic thin single-sided relief of bracteate coinage. Fragmentary Latin legend LVDEWIC GV appears in the surrounding field. |
