Leszek the White's tenure as Duke of Kraków was interrupted twice by rival Piast claimants, and the bracteate coinage issued under his authority reflects those instabilities — attributions to specific phases of his rule remain contested, with no surviving mint records to anchor individual dies to particular years. The Kop(-) designation confirms this piece falls outside Kopicki's catalogued types entirely, placing it among the least-documented issues of early Polish medieval numismatics.
