Reverse description As a true bracteate, the reverse displays the incuse, mirror-image impression of the obverse design — a recessed rendering of the twin-turreted city gate motif visible in intaglio. The surface is concave and shows the characteristic bowl-like profile of single-die hammered bracteate coinage. The field is plain with no inscription, and the lobed scalloped rim is similarly present in negative relief.
