Reverse description The reverse, as is characteristic of all bracteate coinage, presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design. The concave surface reveals the negative impression of the central cross pattee within the crescent motif, surrounded by the incuse traces of the two concentric rings. The thin silver flan displays natural flow lines and surface porosity consistent with medieval hammered bracteate production. No legend or additional decorative elements are present on the reverse.
