| Descrizione del dritto | Half-length effigy of a ruler facing right, holding a sword in the right hand and a shield in the left. Above the figure, an architectural canopy composed of three arches surmounted by three towers, rendered in the Romanesque stylistic tradition. Two stylized mint branches or palm sprigs appear between the towers in the upper field. The design is struck in high relief characteristic of thin bracteate coinage, with the image appearing in mirror impression on the reverse. |
