Obverse description Full-face enthroned effigy of Emperor Henry VI within an inner beaded oval border, depicted frontally wearing an imperial crown and robes, holding a scepter in the right hand and an imperial orb in the left. The figure is rendered in the Romanesque stylistic tradition typical of late 12th-century German bracteates, with a flat, relief design pressed from a single die. The legend HEINRICVS CESAR runs around the effigy within the field, and the entire composition is enclosed by a prominent outer beaded border following the irregular round flan.
