| 表面の説明 | Facing half-length effigy of a bishop in high relief, rendered in the Romanesque style typical of 13th-century German ecclesiastical bracteates. The figure is vested in full episcopal attire, including a mitre and a beaded or jewelled pectoral vestment, raising the right hand in benediction and holding a crozier in the left. The design is set within a plain inner circle surrounded by a broad beaded border. The entire composition is characteristic of the single-sided bracteate technique, with the design struck in high convex relief on a thin flan. |

Henry of Tanne served as Bishop of Constance from 1233 to 1248, a tenure marked by persistent conflict with the Habsburgs over territorial rights in the upper Rhine region. Bracteates of this diocese are among the thinner and more fragile surviving examples from the Swabian ecclesiastical mints, and Constance issues from this period are underrepresented in major collections relative to contemporary Saxon or Thuringian production.
