Obverse description Schematized frontal bust of an archbishop wearing a mitre, rendered in low relief typical of bracteate coinage. The face is depicted in a highly stylized manner, with globular pellets arranged symmetrically below the mitre suggesting a collar or pectoral ornament. The bust is set within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a beaded border. The overall design reflects the simplified ecclesiastical portraiture characteristic of medieval Rhenish bracteates of the early fourteenth century.
