| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crude bracteate type depicting two schematically rendered seated figures facing one another, separated by a Calvary cross at center. The design is enclosed within a double dotted border, with star-like ornaments placed above and below the central motif, and uncertain symbols flanking the figures in the field. The overall execution is characteristic of provincial German bracteate coinage of the mid-to-late thirteenth century, exhibiting a naive, stylized aesthetic typical of the Hohnstein County workshop. |
