Henry Dusemer von Arfberg served as Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1345 to 1351, a tenure defined by the aftermath of the catastrophic defeat at the Battle of Płowce and the Order's ongoing struggle to consolidate territorial control in Prussia. These bracteates — struck from a single die on thin silver blanks — were produced at the Order's Prussian mints as small-denomination currency for local trade. The fabric is so delicate that undamaged examples are genuinely uncommon, the flan cracking being an occupational hazard of the type rather than a grading consideration.
