| Descrizione del dritto | Facing bust of Bishop Hartwig II depicted in Romanesque style, centrally positioned within a raised inner circle. The bishop is shown wearing a mitre and holding a crozier to his left and what appears to be a book or cross to his right. The bust is rendered in a stylized, hieratic manner characteristic of early 13th-century South German ecclesiastical coinage. The inner circle is surrounded by a broad decorative border composed of alternating trefoil and scroll ornaments arranged in a lobed or scalloped pattern around the entire periphery of the flan. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | As a bracteate, this coin is uniface; the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the facing episcopal bust with mitre and pastoral attributes pressed through the thin silver flan. The reverse surface is concave and bears the negative impression of the obverse design elements including the inner circle border and the surrounding lobed decorative frame, characteristic of the bracteate technique employed in the Swabian and Bavarian regions during the High Medieval period. |
