| Obverse description | Frontal bust of a count (earl) centrally positioned, flanked by a cross to one side and a star to the other, beneath a trilobate arch surmounted by three towers in the architectural style typical of Rhenish bracteates. Four pellets are arranged on the outer rim, serving as decorative border elements. The design is executed in low relief characteristic of thin hammered bracteate coinage of the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries. |
