| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal bust of a bishop in high relief within a raised inner circle, depicted in benediction with the right hand raised in blessing and the left hand holding a crozier or ecclesiastical attribute. The figure is rendered in the Romanesque style characteristic of mid-12th century German bracteate coinage, with stylized drapery and a nimbus or vestment visible around the shoulders. A beaded or pellet border frames the inner circle, with a further outer inscription band running along the coin's periphery. The entire design is struck on a single thin silver flan, with the image appearing in relief on the obverse and as a corresponding incuse impression on the reverse, as is standard for bracteate coinage. |
