| Beschrijving keerzijde | Incuse and mirror-image impression of the obverse design, as is inherent to the bracteate technique, wherein the thin silver flan bears the negative relief of the obverse strike on its reverse face. The surface is plain and unmarked, showing the characteristic concave curvature and flan irregularities typical of hammered bracteate coinage of the late Holy Roman Empire period. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
George of Schönenberg served as Bishop of Worms from 1580 to 1595, a tenure defined largely by the pressures of the Counter-Reformation in a city that had been a flashpoint for Lutheran reform since the 1520s — Worms being, among other things, where Luther refused to recant before the Imperial Diet in 1521. These bracteate deniers were among the smallest fiduciary issues of the Rhenish ecclesiastical mints, struck on single-sided flans so thin that surviving examples without cracks or edge splits are genuinely uncommon at this diameter.
