| 正面描述 | Quartered shield bearing the arms of Pfalz and Bavaria in alternating quarters, with a central inescutcheon of Veldenz. The initials GGP (Georg Gustav Pfalzgraf) appear above the shield in the field, serving as the sole legend. The design is struck in bracteate fashion, with the image impressed from a single die onto a thin silver flan. |

George Gustav ruled Palatinate-Veldenz for just over two decades, inheriting a territory so financially exhausted by the divisions of the Wittelsbach inheritance that small silver bracteates like this one were among the few coins the county could realistically produce. Veldenz's minting activity in this period was sporadic and small in volume, which accounts for the scarcity of attributed pieces today.
