Obverse description Single-sided bracteate struck in thin silver, displaying a schematized frontal bust of Emperor Frederick II within a beaded inner circle. The imperial effigy is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, with a distinctive crown or headdress surmounting the head and a sceptre or sword rising vertically beside the figure. Architectural or heraldic elements, possibly representing a city gate or tower symbolic of the Ulm mint, appear to the left of the bust. The entire design is enclosed within a outer border of square pellets alternating with a beaded ring, typical of Swabian bracteate coinage of the mid-thirteenth century. The fabric is thin and irregular, consistent with the hammered bracteate technique.

Reverse description As a bracteate, the reverse presents a mirror-image incuse impression of the obverse design, with no independent design or legend. The thin silver flan shows the characteristic negative relief of the frontal bust and associated emblems visible on the obverse, a defining feature of the bracteate coining technique widely employed in medieval Germany.
