| 裏面の説明 | As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the faint negative impression of the crowned facing bust with raised hand and floral ornament. The incuse relief is characteristic of the single-die hammered bracteate technique, in which a thin silver flan is struck from one side only, producing a sunken reverse that faithfully reproduces the obverse composition in reverse. The beaded and cross-pellet border is similarly visible in negative relief around the periphery. |
