| Obverse description | Uniface bracteate struck in thin debased silver. Central device depicts a single-headed eagle displayed with wings outstretched, rendered in the schematic style characteristic of mid-fifteenth-century Brandenburg pfennig coinage. The eagle motif, associated with the Hohenzollern margraves of Brandenburg, is contained within a beaded or raised inner circle. Short radial lines or pellets extend from the inner circle toward the irregular outer rim, forming a decorative border typical of the Brakteat tradition. |
