| 裏面の説明 | As a bracteate, this coin is uniface; the reverse presents only the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the two crowned busts and the globus cruciger in negative relief, as is characteristic of all bracteate coinage. The surface is plain and unadorned, bearing no intentional inscription or design on this side. The silver flan is thin and slightly concave, conforming to the standard bracteate fabric of the Hohenstaufen imperial coinage. The irregular edge reflects the hand-cut and hammer-struck production method employed at the Gelnhausen mint during the twelfth century. |
