Obverse description Single-sided bracteate struck in thin silver sheet, featuring a central architectural or heraldic motif composed of two confronted domed or rounded figures flanking a central fleur-de-lis finial rising above a broad arch, all set within a plain inner circle bordered by a raised beaded outer ring. The design is rendered in low relief characteristic of north German bracteate coinage of the late 13th century. The field is smooth with no visible legend. The overall composition is symmetrical and stylized, reflecting the episcopal workshop tradition of the Verden mint.
