| Reverse description | As a true bracteate, the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, showing the indented impression of the enthroned ruler and surrounding architectural and pellet ornaments in sunken relief. The surface is characteristically uneven with the thin silver flan showing stress cracks and irregular edges typical of hammered bracteate coinage of 12th-century Piast Poland. No separate reverse die was employed in production. |
