The lower register features a pair of symmetrical volutes or scroll ornaments, rendered in the crude but characteristic Romanesque provincial style of late 12th-century Polish deniers. The flan is irregular and thin, exhibiting typical bracteate fabric with slight cupping and edge fissures. |
