Obverse description Centrally positioned crown rendered in low relief, depicted frontally with three visible points or fleurons rising from a stepped base row of pellets; a small cross surmounts the central point of the crown. The design occupies the majority of the broad, thin flan characteristic of bracteate coinage, with no surrounding legend. The style is bold and schematic, consistent with the struck bracteate coinage of the Teutonic Order in Prussia during the mid-fourteenth century.
