Thông tin bổ sung

The Teutonic Order's Prussian coinage of this period operated under a specific monetary privilege granted by the Holy Roman Emperor, allowing the Order to mint independently of local secular authority — a right jealously guarded and occasionally contested by neighboring Polish and Pomeranian rulers. At 0.19g, this piece sits at the thinnest functional edge of billon coinage, the silver content sufficiently debased that classification as true silver is generous.

Bracteate production in the Order's Prussian territories during the late 13th and early 14th centuries remains poorly documented in the die-study literature, leaving attribution of individual pieces to specific minting sites — Thorn, Elbing, or Königsberg — largely unresolved.
