| Obverse description | Armored knight on horseback advancing left, bearing a shield on his left arm; the horse is depicted in profile with stylized limbs typical of medieval bracteate work. The design is contained within a beaded inner border, beyond which an outer decorative border alternates between the letter V and a tower motif, arranged at regular intervals around the circumference. The overall composition is rendered in high relief on a thin, single-sided flan characteristic of the bracteate technique. |
