| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned frontal half-length figure of Count Albert depicted in majesty, rising above a fortified wall rendered in architectural detail. Two flanking towers frame the central figure to the left and right, with a third tower positioned below within a semicircular arch. The effigy exhibits the stylized Romanesque treatment characteristic of northern German bracteate coinage of the early thirteenth century. The composition is deeply struck in the single-sided bracteate tradition, with the design exhibiting typical shallow relief on the thin flan. |
