Obverse description Coat of arms displayed within a beaded inner circle, with the initials AHR (for Adolphus Henry Rhinegrave) positioned above the shield. The heraldic device is rendered in the crude, flat style typical of small hammered bracteate coinage of the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. The flan is irregular and slightly chipped at the rim, consistent with hand-cut silver of this denomination and period.

Reverse description Uniface bracteate construction; the reverse presents a blank, slightly concave field with a faint incuse mirror impression of the obverse design visible through the thin silver flan, as is characteristic of bracteate coinage of this type and era.
