Lower Lusatia's bracteate deniers were struck during the fragmented political tenure of the margravate, a territory that changed hands repeatedly between Silesian Piasts, Bohemian kings, and various Brandenburg lines throughout the medieval period. The extreme thinness demanded by bracteate production — a single-sided strike on a fragile flan — means survivors in any condition are scarce, and Bahrfeldt's classification of this type at #104 places it among the minor regional issues that saw limited territorial circulation.
