附加信息	Lower Lusatia's bracteate deniers reflect the fragmented minting rights of the Ascanian margraves, whose authority over the territory was repeatedly contested through the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The extreme thinness of the flan — a consequence of striking on a single die rather than between two — makes these pieces acutely vulnerable to cracking along the edges, and even minimally circulated examples rarely survive intact.
