Obverse description Single-sided bracteate struck in copper, exhibiting the characteristic convex bowl form of the type. At center, the eagle shield of Schweinfurt is depicted, flanked by the initials S and M positioned to either side. The divided date 16 - 22 appears alongside the shield, with the Pfennig symbol (₰) also present in the legend. The design is enclosed by a border of raised beads of notably substantial size. The overall execution is typical of early seventeenth-century German municipal emergency or small-denomination coinage, with the design struck in relief on the obverse and appearing as an incuse impression on the reverse.
