Obverse description Struck as a bracteate, the obverse displays a schematic double-headed imperial eagle shown facing, with both heads turned outward in opposite directions, rendered in low relief characteristic of 15th-century German bracteate coinage. The eagle's spread wings and bifurcated body fill the central field, enclosed within a plain inner border ring. The surface is unadorned by legend or inscription, with the design executed in the simplified, stylised manner typical of municipal Nordhausen issues of this period.
