| Descripción del anverso |
Thin bracteate flan struck with a single die, displaying a stylized Gothic letter 'G' — the initial of Göttingen — rendered in a curvilinear form at center. The letter is surrounded by one or more concentric raised rings that serve as an inner border, the whole contained within the irregular, slightly wavy rim characteristic of hammered bracteate coinage. The design is bold and simple, typical of municipal bracteates issued by Lower Saxon towns in the medieval period. The overall relief is shallow, as is inherent to the bracteate technique, with the design appearing in positive on the obverse and as a corresponding incuse impression on the reverse. |

| Descripción del reverso |
Incuse mirror image of the obverse design, as is characteristic of the bracteate (single-die) striking technique. The reverse shows the negative impression of the stylized 'G' and concentric rings visible on the obverse, with a shallow, recessed field. The surface is unworked and irregular, consistent with the thin silver flan used for bracteate coinage. |
