| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays a bishop's crozier rendered in bold relief, the curved head of the staff facing left, flanked symmetrically by two raised pellets positioned at the lower left and lower right of the crozier shaft. The design is contained within a plain raised inner circle set against the broad, slightly concave field typical of bracteate coinage. The imagery is characteristic of ecclesiastical issuing authorities, with the crozier serving as the primary symbol of episcopal authority. The strike is relatively centered, with the design elements cleanly defined despite the thin, uniface nature of the flan. |

The Bishopric of Cammin, established in Pomerania in 1140, operated as a frontier ecclesiastical authority on the southern Baltic coast, and its coinage reflects the thin, single-sided bracteate tradition that dominated northern German minting through the thirteenth century. At 0.43 grams, this piece sits at the lighter end of even that already fragile format — repeated handling collapsed many examples, which partly explains survival rates.
