| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicting a stylized tree with a single vertical trunk, branching symmetrically into multiple boughs, each terminating in pointed leaf forms and small pellets arranged in clusters. The overall composition is highly stylized in the Romanesque manner, filling the inner field. The design is enclosed within a raised double linear border, with the irregular flan edge visible beyond. No legend or inscription appears in the field. The relief is bold and characteristic of South German bracteate coinage of the late 12th century. |
