Reverse description Central field displays a plain Latin cross with equal arms, set within a beaded inner circle. The annular border between the inner circle and the outer rim is filled with radiating wedge-shaped segments, mirroring the decorative scheme of the obverse. The surrounding legend reads + VIENNA CIVIS, identifying the mint city of Vienne. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edge, typical of hammered coinage of this period.
