Obverse description Facing bust of Duke Borivoj II depicted in a crude, stylised manner characteristic of Bohemian deniers of the early twelfth century. The figure is shown from the shoulders upward, with a beaded inner circle framing the portrait. The face is rendered with simple but expressive features including a beard, and the shoulders are draped. Fragments of the legend BORIVOI appear in the outer field around the beaded border, partially legible due to the irregular flan.
