Obverse description Central field features a cross pattée enclosed within a plain inner circle, with pellets filling each quadrant between the arms of the cross. A retrograde or partially legible Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, rendered in crude early medieval lettering characteristic of Bohemian hammered coinage of the early 11th century. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with primitive hammered production of the period.
