Additional information

Bolesław I of Poland seized Bohemia in 1003 after exploiting a succession crisis following the death of Vladivoj, briefly uniting the Polish and Bohemian crowns under a single ruler for the only time in medieval history. His occupation lasted barely a year before Henry II of Germany intervened and expelled him. Coins struck during this window are among the most historically compressed issues in Central European medieval numismatics.

Cach 225 is attributed specifically to this occupation period, distinguishing it from Bolesław's Polish issues.
