Obverse description Central field features a stylized frontal bust or figure, likely a ecclesiastical or regal representation, rendered in a primitive Romanesque style characteristic of Bohemian coinage of the late 10th century. The figure is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the design, the lettering showing the irregular spacing and archaic letterforms typical of hammered Bohemian deniers of this period.
