Boleslaus II consolidated Bohemian ducal authority partly through control of the Prague mint, one of the earliest functioning mints in Central Europe. His reign saw the founding of the Prague bishopric in 973, which shifted the political and ecclesiastical weight of the region decisively toward Bohemia and away from Regensburg — a realignment that minting activity both reflected and reinforced.
Cach 1016 is among the more precisely documented types in the series, though attribution of individual Přemyslid deniers remains contested due to overlapping die use across the reign.
