| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized hand issuing from below, rendered in a bold, archaic Romanesque style characteristic of early Bohemian coinage, enclosed within a raised inner ring. Surrounding the central motif is a broad outer border populated with large pellets and cross-pattée ornaments arranged in alternating fashion around the circumference. The legend BOLESLAV DVX runs within the outer field, identifying the issuer as Duke Boleslaus.
