Obverse description Facing schematic bust of the ruler depicted in a highly stylized, archaic manner occupying the central field, with large globular eyes, a broad nose rendered in relief, and a beaded or rayed crown atop the head. The bust is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, beyond which a circular Latin legend reads in the field. The overall design reflects the primitive engraving style characteristic of early Bohemian coinage of the late tenth century.
